1994 Formula 1with Jordan. Ranked fourteenth overall, peaking with fourth place at the Nurburgring. Was second in Le Mans 24 Hours for Toyota.
1995 Second full season with Jordan led to Eddie climbing to twelfth overall, with third place in the Canadian Grand Prix his best result.
1996 Joined Ferrari as number two to Michael Schumacher. Ranked tenth overall with third place in the season-opening race at Melbourne his best result.
1997 Ranked seventh overall for Ferrari, peaking with second place in the Argentinian Grand Prix in another year as definite number two to team leader Michael Schumacher.
1998 Improved to fourth overall for Ferrari with the three second places and five thirds, but again kept in check to support Schumacher's title bid.
1999 Scored his first win in the opening race at Melbourne and became Ferrari team leader when Schumacher broke a leg at Silverstone. Added wins in Austria, Germany and Malaysia to take title battle to final round, but ended year as runner-up to Mika Hakkinen when he could finish only third in Japan.
2000 Moved to Jaguar to lead the new team. A disappointing season yields just four points with the only highlight being fourth at Monaco.
2001 Another dismal year with Jaguar, the only highlight being a brilliant third place at Monaco. 12th overall with six points.
2002 Little improvement as Irvine finishes ninth overall with eight points, including a podium at Monza. Jaguar decide against renewing his contract and, after talks with Jordan break down, announces his retirement from F1.
